LeBron James has just signed 2-year-long contract with Lakers worth $96 million
LeBron James, one of the best basketball players in recent NBA history, agreed to a new two-year, $97 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The deal also contains a third-year option for the 2024/25 season. Adrian Wojnarowski, a journalist for “ESPN,” reported that the contract’s value may climb to 111 million dollars if the salary cap is raised in 2023.
The King’s new contract contains a 15 percent “trade kicker,” indicating that he will receive 15 percent additional money in the event of a move. Kevin Durant has been surpassed by LeBron James as the NBA player who has earned the most money from a deal, with $532 million guaranteed.
LeBron averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game last season, but his Lakers did not qualify for the postseason.
