Law enforcement looking for alleged check thieves in Sarpi County
GRETNAH, Neb. (Nebraska) — A pair of alleged check thieves is wanted in Sarpi County and investigators may use your help to identify the suspects.
The pair look like tough shoppers walking out of Gretna Walmart hand in hand, but they allegedly tried to buy $2,200 worth of merchandise using a stolen check.
The woman allegedly used a stolen photo ID that didn’t match hers, so the shop turned them down and they left before helpers arrived. Walmart security noticed the man was carrying a handful of checkbooks, which investigators believe were stolen.
Authorities believe they know who the woman is, but still have to identify the man.
If you know the names of the suspects and where to find them, contact the Sarpi County Crime Squad at 402-592-STOP and you may be eligible for a reward.
