OMAHA, Nebraska – If you’re driving through western Omaha, you may experience minor disruptions starting Tuesday.
It’s a sign that bigger things are coming on the 156th and Pacific.
This intersection will have various lane restrictions for the next 2 months to protect OPPD workers.
City officials have said that before significant building and construction work begins next year on 156th Street north of the Pacific all the way to Wycliffe Drive, which is near the West Dodge Roadway, we will see an energy flow.
These lanes will be widened, which is much needed.
Crews will aim to keep one lane in each manual, although a complete closure is possible for the entire summer season when the Kiewit Intermediate school, which remains in the midst of it all, goes on holiday break.
