Kearney’s man was charged with child sexual assault
KEARNEY, Neb. (Nebraska) – A Kearney man is accused of raping a 15-year-old boy.
Lucas Barboza, 25, is charged with a crime of first-degree sexual assault of a minor, a crime that contributed to the delinquency of a minor, and an unlawful crime relating to minors.
Court documents indicate that Barboza is accused of subjecting a victim to sexual penetration in October last year. The victim was then 15 years old. The charging documents also indicate that he supplied alcohol to a minor.
A Buffalo County judge has sealed documents containing more details about the alleged crimes.
Future court dates for Barboza are pending.
The minimum sentence for a conviction for child sexual assault is 20 years in prison. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment.
