Just hours after the ‘sudden’ death of the 37-year-old ABC producer, his wife was arrested

The wife of an ABC producer who died suddenly last month was arrested in connection with her actions on the night of his death.

“We had two cameras aimed at my children when they were sleeping and I kept a close eye on them when I was away from them. As long as the girls are not hurt, I understand that it was a bad decision,” she said.

Veronica Tejera said charges were filed heartbreak time for her and her family.

“My family and I are devastated by the sudden passing of Dax. He was left with a heartbroken family and two daughters whom he loved with all his heart. Our family has experienced a terrible tragedy. I respectfully request privacy while my children and I mourn the death of Dax,” the statement said.

Dax Tehera joined ABC News in 2017 and has been producing This Week since 2020.
