Juniat man crashed into train and hospitalized with minor injuries

JUNIATA, Nebraska (Nebraska). The driver who collided with the train on Wednesday east of Juniata is expected to recover.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report at 2:38 p.m. of a vehicle colliding with a train. As soon as the crews arrived on the scene, they quickly took over the driver, who was Greg Hupp from Juniata.

A preliminary investigation determined that Hupp was traveling north on Osage Avenue and failed to yield to an eastbound train at an intersection. First responders rushed Hupp to Mary Lanning Healthcare hospital for minor injuries, and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
