Julia Fox ‘dazed’ and ‘heartbroken’ over arrest of father and brother

Julia Fox is stunned and heartbroken to learn that her father and her brother have been arrested on drug and weapons charges, sources tell Page Six.

Friends of the Uncut Gems star tell us that Fox was completely shaken by the arrest, which took place in New York on Wednesday, and that her brother Christopher was allegedly involved in hard drugs and weapons.

Neither Christopher nor their father Thomas have a criminal record.

The source said Fox, 33, considers his brother Chris “a genius,” but added, “Though Julia found her creative path after a difficult childhood, he struggled to believe in himself enough to use his mind.”

The actress was out of town at the time of the raid and is believed to be unaware of her family’s alleged crimes, sources told The Post.

The actress and fashion darling previously opened up about growing up in the city with her single father and brother, whom she also said she didn’t see often.

“He looks like a mad scientist hermit,” Julia previously said of her brother in an interview. “He builds 3D printers for fun.”

Relatives also described Fox’s brother to The Post as a “mad scientist” who loved doing experiments, but said he was a soft-spoken guy who “wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

The Post reported Wednesday that Fox’s father and brother were arrested on Wednesday after police raided their Manhattan apartment and found a wealth of illegal material.

Law enforcement sources said officers found ghost guns and evidence of drug manufacture in the house.

They also found unidentified pills and a pill press, as well as a ghost weapon.

Police entered Christopher and Thomas Fox’s Upper East Side home around 6 a.m., as we reported earlier, as part of a larger ghost gun investigation, the sources said.

Investigators found the ghost weapon — a weapon with no traceable serial numbers that is often sold piecemeal — as well as 3D-printed parts such as lower receivers.

Police also allegedly found 3D printers and polymer material, as well as unidentified pills, a pill press, pressure cookers, fentanyl, chloroform, heroin, propane, formaldehyde, and materials often used to make explosives, according to sources.

The NYPD confirmed that its field intelligence team executed a search warrant at the building where Christopher and Thomas lived and that two unnamed individuals were taken into custody.

An NYPD spokesman said, “The NYPD team seized several parts of the ghost gun, as well as equipment for pressing drug pills. Team members also found materials commonly used as components of explosives, including pressure cookers and various chemicals that could also be used to make drugs.”

She once called her brother, who can be seen here in his photograph, “a mad scientist.”

“The matter is currently considered to be localized and has no clear connection to terrorism,” the spokesman added.

“The NYPD will continue to relentlessly combat gun trafficking—both the steady proliferation of traditionally made firearms and the growing number of illegal, untraceable, but fully functioning weapons known as ghost weapons.”
