Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet broke up after 16 years. The famous actor couple confirmed the news through social networks.
“We have all felt the pressure and the changes of these transformational times. Revolution is happening and our family is no exception. “It is felt and grown because of the seismic shifts that are taking place,” the statement said.
“So we decided to share the news of our divorce.”
Momoa and Bonet have been married for four years and have been together for more than a decade.
“We do not share this because we think it is worth publishing in the news, but so that we can continue living with dignity and sincerity,” they added.
“The love between us maintains and develops us in a way that wants us to be known and lived. “We liberate ourselves with each other to be what we learn to become.”
“Our commitment to this holy life and to our children is unwavering. We teach children to live as much as possible through prayer. Let love prevail. “J&L,” they concluded.
The couple reportedly met at a jazz club in 2005, long before Momoa became famous for his role as Kala Druga in Game of Thrones. Bonet became known as Denise Huxtable in the 1980s hit series The Cosby Show, and is 12 years older than Momoa.
“When I was 8, I saw her on TV and I thought, ‘Mom, I want that,'” Momoa told James Corden in a 2017 interview.
They had their first child, daughter Lola, in 2007. A year later their son Nakoa-Wolf was born. Momoa helped raise Bonet’s daughter, Zoe Kravitz, from her previous marriage to Lenny Kravitz.
