In the kitchen with Joe: ‘NY Pizza & Italian Restaurant

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (Nebraska) – Starting with the Conestoga Mall, “NY Pizza & Italian Restaurant” found itself in need of a new home after the mall was placed under new ownership.

Luckily for owner Mynor Barahona, the old ‘Pam’s Pub & Grub’ location was available and they moved to South Locust Street.

Despite the new location, customers still flock out to eat the delicious Italian food.

“[I’m] very happy. Very, very happy because the same customers support me. I have more business here and I thank Grand Island for supporting me in this,” Barahona said.

The restaurant serves breakfast from 6am to 11.30am, before moving on to the lunch/dinner menu.

“Many customers don’t know that we offer pizza by the slice,” explained Barahona. “You can take a slice, you don’t have to buy the whole cake. You can get what you want. We offer calzones, stromboli, pizza, all the 50 types of pizza we offer”.
