In Britain, some patients are moving to hotels to make space for other Covid-19 patients

Many patients in Britain will be transferred to hotels to reduce the pressure on the National Health Service (NHS).

During the three-month pilot program, up to 15 patients will receive care at a hotel in central Norwich, the NHS said.

The pilot program, which should start in a few days, is designed for patients who may leave the hospital but need additional care before returning home.

“This measure will help speed up the flow of patients through local hospitals so that we can have more beds for those who need it most,” said Kate Byford, chief nurse at the CCG.

“NHS staff work tirelessly to ensure that people get the medical care they need as quickly as possible. “This innovative pilot program will provide a short-term and safe environment for those who are ready to leave the hospital but still need medical support.”
