Idaho murder victim’s father gets mad at suspect: ‘Little coward…’
Authorities believe the man responsible for the brutal murder of four Idaho college students, 28-year-old Byran Kochberger, has finally been apprehended.
For the first time since Kochberger’s arrest, the father of one of the victims, Steve Gonsalves, has spoken out.
Gonsalves’ daughter, Caylee, was one of the four victims. Others were her roommates, Madison Mogen and Xana Kernodle, and Kernodle’s boyfriend Ethan Chapin.
Four in November reportedly killed in their sleep someone with some kind of blade.
“The little coward who was finally caught on the run,” Gonsalves said. ABC News.
“I still think everyone is innocent until proven guilty, so I forgot about it.”
When the photo was shown Koberger While in custody, Goncalves called the murder suspect “a broken soul, a pathetic man.”
Gonsalves is already looking forward to seeing Kochberger in court.
“This guy will have to look me in the eye several times and I will seek the truth. This is really what I’m going to be looking for,” he said, according to ABC News.
Will Kochberger be convicted on these murder charges?
In addition to his comment about Kochberger, Gonsalves said his family found some links between Caylee and the suspect.
However, at the moment they are not yet ready to share what those connections are.
Koberger was arrested on Friday in Pennsylvania.
As it turns out, the 28-year-old Koberger is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Washington. Interestingly, his area of research was criminology. RGVI-TV.
Some suggest that his field of study may have helped him stay ahead authorities as long as he did so.
In a recent interview with Fox NewsMoscow Police Department Chief James Fry made it clear that he believed Kochberger was indeed responsible for the murders in Moscow, Idaho.
“We sincerely believe that we have a person who has committed these crimes,” he said.
In addition, Fry told the publication that he was disappointed to learn about Kochberger’s field of study in college.
“That’s not what we want in our profession,” the police chief told Fox News. “We hold ourselves to higher standards and we hold ourselves to ethical standards.”
