Huskers against Mennesota: quarterback Casey Thompson will be a “game time decision”, head coach says

LINCOLN, Nebraska – Casey Thompson, the starting quarterback for the Nebraska Huskers, is listed as a “game time decision” for the upcoming matchup against Minnesota, according to comments made by interim head coach Mickey Joseph on Thursday.

Thompson is currently on the mend after suffering an arm injury that forced him to leave the game on the previous Saturday.

According to Joseph, Thompson participated in some capacity in the practice sessions held on both Wednesday and Thursday. While he was out, backup quarterbacks Logan Smothers and Chubba Purdy had valuable experience working with Nebraska’s starting offense. Thompson is assuring the coaching staff at Nebraska that he is in good enough shape to participate.

The game between the Huskers and the Gophers will begin at 11 a.m. (Central Time) on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The match is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN2, and the Huskers Radio Network will be in charge of providing radio coverage.
