Husker volleyball fans line up in Central City for tickets to spring games
CENTRAL CITY, Neb. (Nebraska) – It was early morning, but for some it was late at night in Central City as Husker volleyball fans lined up to get tickets to the Nebraska spring volleyball game.
Nebraska announced they would face Wichita State in a scheduled game in late April.
Tickets went on sale at 8 a.m. Monday morning, but had to be purchased in person, causing long queues around Central City’s Performing Arts Center.
“This is something we were really looking forward to,” said Kelly Bandt, who has been waiting in line since 8pm on Sunday. “If you live in the state of Nebraska, you love your Huskers. I know some people like other colleges, but it’s just something about Nebraska. You care for yours, you love yours, and the University of Nebraska is in our hearts.
Tickets sold out in about an hour. The match is scheduled for 2pm on 29 April.
