How to always make ‘the perfect’ pizza dough

A boy posted a pizza recipe on his Instagram account after his grandmother’s recipe and with interesting anecdotes took us back to ancient times.

– When I grew up in Dalmatia, that pizza was dry gold, and I was very stingy when it came to it. My only focus was to persuade the Slovenes downstairs to play somewhere else so we wouldn’t smell like pizza, which, unfortunately for me, was the most common – he described his childhood adventures in a humorous way.

As Neno says from this profile, some end up with the original pizza, and some at the bakery. That’s why he wrote the recipe in the formula, so that the ingredients adapt to the size of the baking tray in which you bake the pizza.

You will need some mathematical knowledge for this recipe, but the result that will take you back to your childhood with the first bite, is worth all the trouble.

However, for your convenience, we bring you a recipe for a 30×40 cm tin.

Ingredients:

380 g of flour

266 ml of water

1 sachet of dry yeast

10 g of salt

1 teaspoon sugar

charge:

1 can of tomatoes

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon oregano

Salt to taste

1 clove garlic

20 ml of olive oil

250 g ham, optional

250 g of cheese, optional

125 g mozzarella (or any other cheese)

Preparation:

Mix the yeast and sugar in lukewarm water, then leave the yeast to activate. Add flour and knead a smooth dough. Make a ball, pour the whole amount of olive oil over it and leave it covered with a cloth to rise for at least an hour and a half.

Squeeze the can of peeled tomatoes, add sugar to taste, crushed garlic, oregano and olive oil and mix well.

Grate the ham and cheese.

Roll out the dough with your hands from edge to edge in a bowl greased with oil and leave it to rise for at least another half an hour.

Tear the mozzarella and spread it over the dough, then apply the sauce, the grated ham on the sauce, and then the cheese.

Bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for about 15 minutes with the two preheated heaters, and then another 10 minutes with only the bottom heater on.

Cut the pizza into desired pieces and serve!
