Help people impacted by Hurricane Ian, Here’s how
Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida as one of the most destructive storms in decades, leaving inhabitants without power, flooding streets, and uprooting houses from their foundations.
Before the hurricane, several residents boarded up their homes and evacuated to shelters.
Now, volunteers from North Texas and the rest of the Lone Star State are mobilizing to assist storm-affected communities.
Here is how you can assist:
American Red Cross Relief for Hurricane Ian
NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 have joined up with the Red Cross, which is offering volunteers, supplies, shelter, and other assistance to communities affected by Hurricane Ian.
By making a contribution to American Red Cross Disaster Relief, you can assist those affected by Hurricane Ian and other catastrophes such as tornadoes, floods, and countless more emergencies. During calamities, your contribution to the Red Cross helps offer shelter, meals, relief materials, emotional support, and recovery plans.

Volunteer Florida is accepting volunteers here.
Global Giving
The Hurricane Ian Relief Fund established by Global Giving will provide urgent and long-term help to Florida and Cuba.
Before moving on to Florida, where it made impact just short of a Category 5 hurricane, Hurricane Ian killed two people in Cuba and displaced thousands more.
