Halloween Forecast: Ghoulishly Awesome!

 

LINCOLN, Nebraska – The return of sunshine and temperatures that are typical for this time of year on Monday should provide for a beautiful and enjoyable Halloween throughout the 1011 area. The first few days of November will see a continuation of the warm and dry conditions that have been present.

On Halloween, there won’t be any frightful weather conditions to speak of! Temperatures will surge to well above the norm for this time of year, and the day will be largely sunny to partly sunny (average is around 59 degrees). The entire country will see high temperatures in the low 70s. Light winds ranging from 5 to 10 miles per hour are expected to prevail from the west. The weather is going to be just stunning…

…and the ideal time for going door to door handing out candy and collecting treats. The forecast is for mostly sunny and clear conditions for the evening, which will be perfect for trick or treating! The winds are going to shift further into the southwest direction. By 6 o’clock in the evening, temperatures will be in the middle 60s, and by 10 o’clock they will have dropped to the middle 50s. The evening is shaping up to be quite enjoyable overall.

The sky will be fairly clear all through the evening hours, and because of this, we can expect temperatures to drop into the 30s and low 40s.

The first few days of November continue to have temperatures that are above average for the season as well as circumstances that are windy. On Thursday, a cold front will move through, and it will be likely that there will be showers and thunderstorms through Friday. Then, during the course of the weekend, yet another cold front and low pressure system will move over the region, bringing with it an increased likelihood of precipitation.
