Grand Island Police will be hosting open doors for the new substation

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (Nebraska) — The Grand Island Police Department will hold an open house on Monday, February 20 to showcase the new police substation.

The Grand Island Police Department Substation Open House will be held Monday from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at the Grand Island Public Library.

The new police substation is located in the Library Meeting Commons Area.

Members of the library staff council and the Grand Island Police Department will host the public and provide some light refreshments. From 17:30 to 18:00 there will be a welcome from the Library Council to the Police Department and questions and answers from the community can be addressed in Meeting Room B.

The Police Substation will be available to the Grand Island Police Department 24/7 for police officers to stop by, update reports, and other law enforcement activities.
