Grand Island man arrested for burglary and kidnapping

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (Nebraska)-A Grand Island man is in jail and charged with breaking into her ex-girlfriend’s home and attempting to kidnap her and three children.

The incident occurred Wednesday evening in the 400 block of East 13th Street.

According to GIPD, Erick Vincente, 28, of Grand Island broke into a garage to access the home. Police said he then forced his way into a locked bathroom where the woman and three children were hiding.

Vincente then ordered the woman and children to dress and leave for his residence.

When officers arrived, Vincente reportedly refused to comply with multiple orders during his arrest.

Vicente is charged with multiple felonies including burglary, four counts of kidnapping, intentional child abuse, among others.
