LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska) – Gerber Good Start SoothePro Powdered Infant Formula has been recalled due to potential contamination.

The company says this is due to an abundance of caution, as no product it distributed tested positive for Cronobacter sakazakii.

In most cases, the bacteria don’t cause any problems.

But severe symptoms can develop in premature babies, babies younger than two months, and children with weakened immune systems.

It could cause fever, poor diet, excessive crying, and low energy.

The recalled product was sold through resellers in the United States

If you bought it after March 5, we recommend checking the lot codes and expiration dates at the bottom of the package.

Dispose of the formula right away if you have a match.

You can request a refund by contacting the Gerber Parent Resource Center at 1-800-777-7690.
