Gates: “Once the omicron hits a country, there should be fewer cases in the rest of the year”
Bill Gates, the multi-billionaire and founder of Microsoft, on his official Twitter account answered the President of Global Health at the University of Edinburgh – Devi Sridhar, when asked how and when the coronavirus pandemic will end.
“As countries experience their waves on the omicron strain, their health systems will face a new challenge. Most of the severe cases will be unvaccinated people. “Once an omicron crosses the country, there should be far fewer cases for the rest of the year, so Covid-19 could be treated more as a seasonal flu,” Gates wrote.

Gates’ statement echoed the sentiment of Dr. Anthony Fauci, a top US infectious disease expert, who said this week that the coronavirus’s micron strain “would reach almost anyone.”
Between the natural immunity generated by infection and infection of Covid-19 and the very high rate of vaccinated and all available drugs to treat the most severe cases of Covid-19, the United States may be on the verge of transitioning from pandemic to endemic.
“Maybe we are on the verge of that now. “It is possible,” said Dr Fauci.
