Fremont authorities found dead body on Highway 275 near Fremont, ongoing investigation

FREMONT, Nebraska – Dodge County authorities were investigating a fatality on Highway 275 near Fremont on Thursday afternoon.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office stated in a press statement that construction employees discovered a body south of Morningside Road on the roadway.

This event is currently being investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol, the Fremont Police Department, and the Douglas County Crime Lab. The DSCO will share additional information regarding this occurrence as it becomes available, according to a news release.

Authorities advised motorists to avoid the area.
