Four children injured in crash in northwest Lincoln

LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska) – The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a crash in northwest Lincoln that injured four children.

First responders were sent to Cornhusker 6 NW and West just after 7 a.m. on Thursday following a report that a vehicle had crashed into one of Kornhusker’s median pylons.

According to the LPD, there were four children in the car.

The LPD reported that the driver and passenger in the front seat were 15 years old, the passenger in the back seat was 10 years old, and the additional passenger in the back seat was 6 years old.

Officers said the 10-year-old child suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

All other children were seen in the hospital with minor injuries, according to the LPD.

The LPD said the investigation is ongoing.
