Forecast for Sunday: Seasonally warm and pleasant weather to continue
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska) – A little more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures will end on the first weekend in February. Seasonally warm temperatures will continue until the start of the new week, but some rain is possible on Monday.
Another seasonally warm and sunny day will take place on Sunday. High temperatures will be in the mid 30s to the lower 50s. It will be coldest in areas with snow cover, and in the southeast it will rise to 50 degrees. The wind will be weak, 5-10 m/s. While we will have mostly sunny skies, fog is possible across the state on Sunday morning.
Sunday High Temperatures (Nebraska)
We will see cloud cover form in the area from Sunday to Monday, creating partly cloudy skies. Spotted fog is also possible in some areas at night. South wind will increase to 10-15 m/s with gusts up to 25 m/s. Due to cloud cover and southerly winds, low temperatures will remain moderate…only drop to the mid-20s-30s.
Monday Morning Lows (Nebraska)
Monday will bring some changes to the 1011 region… it will be windy, partly cloudy with a small chance of precipitation, but temperatures will remain above average. High temperatures will again rise above average, from 30 to 50. Again, we will see lower temperatures in areas with snow cover. It will be a windy day with winds between 10 and 25 m/s, with gusts up to 35 m/s… the wind will calm down to 10-15 m/s with gusts up to 25 m/s in the afternoon.
Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy during the day, with possible patches of fog in several areas in the morning. There will be light showers or showers in eastern Nebraska from mid-morning to noon. Light rain or snowfall is then possible during the early and late evening hours in the Panhandle and western Nebraska. Snowfall is not expected.

Rain chances will return Wednesday through Friday as the low pressure system is slightly further south. The best chance for precipitation will be on Wednesday, with a chance of showers turning into winter during the night hours and until Friday morning. During the week, the temperature will slowly decrease, but will still remain above normal.
