Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis explains what GOP should do in order to win House and Senate in 2022
Late in the week, Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis disclosed the keys that will allow the Republican Party to retake control of the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate in the next midterm elections.
When DeSantis made an appearance on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” on Friday evening, he explained that the most important thing for him to do to win was to assure voters that Biden will be held accountable for the catastrophes that had occurred during his presidency.
DeSantis, speaking as a guest on Raymond Arroyo’s show, promised that “we will hold Biden accountable.” “This is a referendum on his failures; make sure everybody knows how his policies have contributed to the mess we’re in, and then articulate what you will do to address issues such as the border, crime, and inflation.” “This is a referendum on his failures; make sure everybody knows how his policies have contributed to the mess we’re in.” If you accomplish that, I believe the Republicans will be able to win control of both chambers of the legislature. And I anticipate that we’ll have a wonderful evening.”
Additionally, DeSantis weighed in on the Biden administration’s attempt to blame Republicans for school lockdowns during the pandemic, despite the fact that many Democratic officials advocated closing schools.
“First and foremost, the epidemic did not create those setbacks,” DeSantis said. “Lockdown tactics of Democrat governors, Anthony Fauci, and national teachers unions who wanted schools closed, they are the ones who caused that.” “In Florida, we told the students that they needed to be in school and that they had the right to be there. Because all it required was leadership to say we need to keep kids in school, and those Democrats and those unions and the Left and Fauci, they chose ideology over what was right for those kids, and the damage is going to be lasting regardless of what Fauci wants to tell you. And we’ve done much better as a result, but it wasn’t the pandemic. “And the damage is going to be lasting, regardless of what Fauci wants to tell you.
Earlier on in the interview, DeSantis criticized Vice President Biden for the divisive speech that the latter gave on Thursday night in Philadelphia. In the speech, Biden demonized millions of Americans by claiming that they are extremists who pose a threat to the country. DeSantis blasted Biden for the speech.
DeSantis stated that Trump ran on a platform of uniting the country, but now he is “essentially declaring to the vast majority of the population that disapproves of him, that they are effectively a threat to the republic.” “He dodders, he lashes out, but at the end of the day, the reason there is so much opposition to him is because of his policies,”
DeSantis continued by stating, “He came in and he opened the border, and we’ve seen what a disaster that’s been; he kneecapped American energy, and we’ve seen how that’s hurt millions upon millions of people across our country; they’ve inflated the currency, and we have one of the worst inflations we’ve had in over 40 years.” Because of this, it is only natural that people will be angry over all of the destruction that he has left in his wake. He is the Nero of the United States. He is not a good leader at all. And I think the reason he is doing this is because he is trying to rally his base in order to fend off a major butt flogging coming November.
