Florida woman bought a scratch-off lottery ticket in Tampa and won $1 million

TAMPA, Florida – This week, a Florida woman received her $1 million reward from a winning scratch-off ticket.

Paula Azbill, 63, of Lutz, Hillsborough County, elected to accept her prize as a $820,000 one-time lump sum.

The Florida Lottery reports that Azbill bought a winning 500x The Cash ticket at a 7-Eleven in Tampa.

A bonus commission of $2,000 will be awarded to the firm for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

The Lottery stated in a press release, “The $50 game 500X THE CASH has a top prize of $25 million, the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game, and the best odds to become an instant millionaire!” The game’s overall winning odds are 1 in 4.50.
