Florida man kills his mom and three others in murder-suicide: cops

A man killed his mother and three others before committing suicide in Florida, police and relatives of the victims said.

The victims were found shot to death in a Miami Lakes home on Friday morning, and the killer was identified as the son of one of the victims, a source told Local 10 News.

Police have yet to publicly identify anyone involved in the case.

According to spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta, Miami-Dade police officers arrived at the house after they received a call from a relative asking them to check on the residents.

Authorities entered the house through an unlocked window and found two men and three women who were dead from gunshot wounds, including one man who appeared to have shot himself, according to Zabalet.

“You can only imagine that it is extremely tragic for the family members who were here to find five people who are there lifeless,” Zabaleta said.

Rolando Aguilar told WPLG Local 10 that two of those killed were his 54-year-old ex-wife Joanca Aguilar and her 34-year-old son Dhani Aguilar.

Aguilar said he was “heartbroken” upon hearing the news. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.

“I don’t know why he killed five people, four and himself,” said one of the neighbors.
