Florida authorities said 220,000 images of child pornography were found in the home of a 72-year-old woman.
Florida authorities arrested a 72-year-old man last week after investigators found a hidden pile of more than 220,000 printed child pornography images in his home that investigators said weighed more than a ton.
Paul Zittel of Ocala, Florida faces 25 charges of possessing child pornography stacked in old boxes throughout his office and bedroom, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities arrested Zittel on February 23 and took him to the Marion County jail, where he remains on $250,000 bail, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators tracked down Zittel after Sheriff Det. In January, Chase King received information that several files of child sexual abuse had been uploaded to the Internet.
Police said they traced the download to Zittel’s IP address and then obtained a warrant for his house.
During the raid, other residents allegedly told police that Zittel would not allow anyone into his bedroom or office without a personal escort. That’s where the police said they found his twisted horde.

“Detectives seized printed materials, a computer and a digital storage device and took them out of the house,” the sheriff said in a Facebook post.
Investigators estimate that his perverted documents weigh a total of about 2,600 pounds.
