It is about the creation of the international fund “Partnership for a Strong Ukraine”. It is a joint initiative of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Sweden and Switzerland. The purpose of the fund is to support long-term sustainable development and increase the resilience of municipalities affected by Russian aggression, prevent further escalation and prepare for a smooth social, economic and political reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories.
The Ministry clarifies that the main projects that will be implemented in 2022 with the help of the fund are projects for energy efficiency, strengthening and sustainability of communities.
The founders announced their intentions to set up the fund in August last year. They believe that its help will reduce the “destabilizing influence” on the Russian side in Donbas.
