After discovering that her stepfather had passed away due to a sudden illness, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted in New York with a worried look on her face and almost constantly looking down while wearing large headphones.
On Thursday, September 29, Sarah Jessica Parker announced the death of her stepfather.
Soon after, the 57-year-old actress was spotted in New York with a concerned look on her face, wearing a casual outfit with trainers and clogs, and wearing large headphones.
The actress shared the sad news with a statement to the website Page Six.
“Our family is saddened to announce that after an unexpected and sudden illness, Paul Giffin Forst passed away yesterday at the age of 76.
Paul will be remembered for his good spirit, his joy for his 13 grandchildren and his desire to make the world a better and more beautiful place for everyone.”
The stepfather of the actress was surrounded by family in his last moments, including his wife Barbara, his biological children and Sarah Jessica Parker.
After the statement, the actress walked around New York and almost never took her eyes off the sidewalk.
Sarah was in a casual outfit, with trainers, slippers and a backpack, her gray hair in a bun.
The actress hid her face with large sunglasses.
The parents of the actress – Barbara and Stephen Parker – divorced when she was only three years old.
Soon after, her mother married Paul, with whom she was married until his death, i.e. for over 50 years.
Before his death, Sarah Jessica Parker was supposed to attend a fashion gala dinner organized by New York City Ballet, where she was to receive an honorary award for “her vision and her leadership.”
But due to the death of her stepfather, the actress did not appear at the exclusive event.
At the same time, the actress was supposed to be part of a virtual press conference for her new film Hocus Pocus 2, but he canceled his attendance at that event as well.
Previously, Sarah attended the premiere of the film with her children, twins Tabitha and Marion.
Usually the actress and her husband keep their children away from the public, but they were huge fans of the cult film, so they wanted to attend the premiere of the second sequel.
The actress also revealed that they couldn’t wait to meet the other two actresses who play witches in the film.
“They watched the first film for the first time about three years ago. They were excited to meet Beth and Kathy. “They kept asking me if they would see them dressed as their iconic characters.”
