‘Every year I hear new names in the community here’: Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards winners announced

OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Some of the metro’s most prominent artists took center stage Sunday night as the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards (OEAA) honored the best of the best in the arts, music and theatre.

This was the 17th year of awards for people supporting Omaha culture and the first in-person awards since 2020.

Major winners included Most Outstanding New Artist, Bel Canto Duo, Artist of the Year, King of Iso and Most Outstanding Musical, Something Rotten from the Ralston Community Theatre.

“It’s really exciting because I feel like every year I hear new names here in the community. And to be able to celebrate people who have been in the industry for over 40 years and new faces on the scene. It’s so great to have them all. together and be able to communicate with each other and hopefully collaborate more in the future,” said Maria Korbuz, Secretary of the OEAA Board.

In total, 53 awards were presented to metro artists at yesterday’s ceremony.
