Entrepreneurship and Equality: Omaha hosts Global Women’s Forum Saturday

OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) – March is Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day is next week. This weekend, 150 women from all over the world are gathering for the Global Women’s Forum right here in Omaha.

On Saturday there were several panels with guest speakers. Topics include entrepreneurship, health and wellness, leadership and foundations, and rights and equality.

3 News Now spoke to two speakers on Friday. They say that such events give strength.

“If you are a woman who wants to start her own company, or who has a dream, or wants to become the CEO of an organization. For example, I hope that we will reach those people, those women who have a dream.” said panellists Jaquel Lane and Yuridia Igbokwe. “I think it will be very exciting because it will be a multicultural world. You don’t see that often in Omaha. Garden.”

The event began on Saturday at the Garden Theater at 12:30 and will last until 18:30.
