Enemy Within UNO snaps Nebraska baseball’s streak

LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska) — Nebraska’s baseball streak ended Tuesday night after a loss to UNO.

Nebraska, who had won nine of their last 10 games, lost 10-6 to the Mavericks under the lights of Haymarket Park.

In the third inning, Nebraska pulled off an early lead on RBIs by Max Anderson and Cole Evans, who was named Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday.

The Huskers then shed the lead in the fourth inning after UNO hit four runs on three walks and a fielder’s choice.

Nebraska reclaimed the lead in the fifth inning, but was quickly outrun by the Mavericks in the sixth.

Husker’s offense stagnated for the remainder of the game, unable to make up the deficit.
