Early morning fire in Bellevue almost completely damaged a duplex residence, no injuries reported

OMAHA, Nebraska – A family is in good health after fleeing a Monday morning house fire.

The fire department was dispatched to Lynnwood Drive near 28th Street at 4:30 a.m.

A fire broke out in a duplex, and firemen on the scene worked to remove a portion of the roof. There were two people and a dog in the house at the time, but everyone was able to escape safely.

Firefighters investigated surrounding properties for additional damage.

The fire’s origin remains under investigation.
