Chicago, Illinois – According to Chicago police, six people have been killed and at least 26 more injured in gunshots across the city this weekend.
A double homicide was reported in the 1300 block of South Harding early on Sunday morning.
Approximately 4:05 a.m., according to Chicago police, officers arrived at the site. and discovered that two males had been headshot.
Each man was transported to a local hospital, where they were confirmed dead.
No other information was immediately available, and the inquiry is ongoing.
Saturday morning, according to Chicago police, four persons were slain in separate shooting incidents across the city, including one in the 7100 block of North Clark.
At approximately 1:26 a.m., while a group was standing in a parking lot, at least two people were struck by gunfire.
A 37-year-old male was fatally wounded in the chest and confirmed dead at a local hospital, according to authorities. A second victim, a 36-year-old male who was struck in the belly and back and transported to a local hospital in severe condition, was struck in the abdomen and back.
A half-hour later, a second man was fatally shot in the 5200 block of West Ferdinand. The victim was standing in a huge gathering when he was struck many times by gunfire to the body.
The victim was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the police.
The time was roughly 2:04 a.m. Another homicide was reported on Saturday, this time in the 11800 block of South Hale. A 30-year-old guy was shot in the torso by a friend at a backyard event, according to the police.
The victim was pronounced dead at the site, and no suspects have been apprehended.
Another fatal gunshot was reported in the 2400 block of West Ogden just before 4:00 a.m. A 30-year-old male was located laying in the street, shot in the chest, and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Before 1 a.m. in the 800 block of North LeClaire, two individuals were shot while standing on a sidewalk. A 29-year-old man was in fair health after being shot in the arm, while a 22-year-old woman was in good condition after being wounded in the leg, according to the police.
A 36-year-old male was shot in the right leg while standing on a sidewalk in the 4100 block of West Barry at approximately 2:54 a.m. According to police, he was transported to a local hospital in good health.
A man was shot in the leg in the 2400 block of South State Street at approximately 3:30 a.m. According to authorities, he was sent to a local hospital in good condition.
At around 4:08 a.m., a 36-year-old man was standing outside in the 5100 block of West Madison when he was shot in the legs, according to police. He was sent to a local hospital in good health.
At 7:27 a.m. in the 4400 block of West West End, a 33-year-old male was shot in the back while he was inside a residence. According to authorities, he was sent to a local hospital, where his condition stabilized.
At around 12:37 a.m. in the 1700 block of West 43rd Street, a suspect in a Ford sedan opened fire on two individuals in a vehicle. A 21-year-old guy was shot many times and was classified in serious condition at a local hospital, while a 19-year-old lady was wounded in the neck and face and transferred to a local hospital in critical condition.
At around 1:24 a.m., a 25-year-old lady driving in the 1400 block of West Roosevelt was shot by a person in another car. She was struck in the leg and sent to a local hospital in stable condition, according to authorities.
A 31-year-old male was in a car in the 2400 block of South Homan at 4:08 a.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain in his back. The man was transported to a local hospital in good condition, according to authorities.
At around 1:33 p.m., according to police, three persons were shot in the 5600 block of East 133rd Street. A 24-year-old male was shot in the back and was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. A 41-year-old man and a 39-year-old man were both shot and transported to local hospitals in good condition.
Approximately 2:25 p.m. in the 5600 block of North St. Louis, a male aged 18 was shot in the chest following a verbal disagreement with a known individual, according to police. The man was transported in critical condition to a local hospital.
At approximately 6:05 p.m., two people were shot in the 700 block of East 79th Street, according to police. A 47-year-old male and a 32-year-old man were shot by a person in a dark-colored sedan as they exited a store, according to police. Both men were transported to surrounding hospitals in good condition.
Following an argument on a sidewalk in the 6400 block of South Aberdeen at approximately 9 p.m., a 41-year-old male was shot. According to police, the man was transported to a local hospital in good condition.
Three guys were attending a meeting in the 1200 block of West 103rd Street around 9:40 p.m. when someone entered a back door and fired rounds, according to the police. All three were sent to local hospitals with a variety of ailments in stable condition.
At around 10:01 p.m. near the 4300 block of South Wood, two guys fired rounds at a 25-year-old man who was driving. According to authorities, he was struck in the back and sent to a local hospital in fair condition.
A 26-year-old guy was shot in the right leg while standing in an alley in the 6700 block of South Ada at approximately 11:06 p.m. According to police, he was transported to a local hospital in good health.
- Just before 5:30 p.m. in the 300 block of North Laramie, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the body. Police say the teen was taken to an area hospital in good condition.
- A 13-year-old boy was walking on a sidewalk in the 1100 block of North Lawler at approximately 8:35 p.m. when he was shot by a person in a black SUV. The teen was taken to an area hospital in good condition after being shot in the ankle, according to police.
- In the 2800 block of South Komensky at approximately 10:39 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot by a person on a block motorcycle. Police say the man was taken to an area hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
