Donald Anthony sentenced to life in prison almost a year after the murder

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (Nebraska) -A Grand Island man will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Hall County District Court Judge Patrick Lee sentenced Donald Anthony to life in prison without parole for the stabbing death of Said Farah.

He also received up to 57 additional years for other charges, including using a deadly weapon to commit a felony and terrorist threats he made against a Hall County Correctional Officer.

Anthony was sentenced in December after a jury found him guilty of the February 15, 2022 stabbing attack in an apartment at 303 South Pine St. Those charges were first-degree murder, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

Farah was found with a stab wound to the neck in the corridor of an apartment.
