Dead body of a 30-year-old man from Council Bluffs found in Missouri River, the incident is investigated as a suspicious death

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – On Saturday afternoon, a corpse was discovered floating in the Missouri River.

The Council Bluffs Police Department reports that someone who was boating on the Missouri River saw a corpse that was floating in the river and immediately contacted the police after making the discovery.

After emergency crews such as police and firefighters came, the body was taken to the shore.

The deceased was positively identified by forensics teams using fingerprints. Anthony Anderson, 30, was identified as the victim by the Council Bluffs police department.

The death is being seen as suspicious by the police who are looking into the occurrence.
