Collision in Richardson County on Wednesday fatal for three people, police

RICHARDSON COUNTY, Nebraska — According to the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office, a head-on collision along the Nebraska-Kansas border resulted in the deaths of three people.

Wednesday, just after 3 p.m., deputies arrived at the scene following the collision on US Route 7.

According to first responders, Dennis Podliska, 82, and Ramona Podliska, 80, were in a Kia Forte. Patricia Tonar, 74 years old and from Omaha, was in a Chevrolet Blazer. According to deputies, all three victims were deceased when they arrived at the site.

The Sheriff’s Office of Richardson County extends sympathy to all affected families.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
