Cold wind advisory, dangerous cold expected in Nebraska, Iowa
As snow settles in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, dangerous cold winds are forecast to hit the area.
Temperatures will drop during the day on Saturday and continue to drop until Sunday morning. Gusts of north wind with a speed of more than 30 m/s are expected, which will be replaced by severe cooling.
Wind chill trend for Omaha, Nebraska
A wind chill warning was issued for parts of the region north of I-80 from 6:00 pm Saturday to 12:00 am Sunday. At this time, cold snaps from -25° to -30° are possible. Frostbite can occur in as little as 30 minutes.
