City of Omaha announced 42nd Street bridge closure due to renovation, set to open by the end of next year
OMAHA, Nebraska – Just south of Interstate 80, the City of Omaha has confirmed when the 42nd Street bridge will close.
On the morning of October 17, the 42nd Street bridge between the I-80 East exit ramp and D Street will close, according to the city.
It is a heavily traveled bridge that has deteriorated over the years, thus it will be replaced.
The city estimates that it will reopen in December 2023.
