Cerritos Sheriff’s Station informed that local resident has been robbed at drive-thru ATM in Cerritos

Cerritos, Calif. – Sunday evening at approximately 8:30 p.m., a robbery happened at the Wells Fargo Bank near Gridley Road and South Street, according to Lieutenant Tim Householder of the Cerritos Sheriff’s Station.

Householder stated that a man in dark clothing approached the victim as he was using the ATM while brandishing a firearm. The suspect stole the victim’s possessions and fled the area on foot.

Householder observed that individuals are especially susceptible while using ATMs at night.
