Capital One customer has had hard time to locate his transaction after his account was sold to Goldman Sachs

Dallas, Texas – Reginald Jones of Forney attempted to reduce his debt by making a payment on his Capital One credit card; however, the payment was never posted to his account.

Jones contacted Capital One and learned that Goldman Sachs had acquired his account. Capital One said that the payment had been sent, but Goldman Sachs had no trace of it.

Jones contacted NBC 5 Responds for assistance after being unable to determine where the funds went. Capital One was able to find the $300 payment and successfully transfer it to Goldman Sachs after we called them.

Capital One said in a statement: “We apologize for any misunderstanding or confusion this situation may have caused, and we have resolved the matter. Customers are encouraged to keep a close eye on their payment dates and any notifications provided regarding changes to their card goods, and to contact their card issuer with any issues.”

This is excellent advise; before sending payment, check with the creditor to ensure correct application.

Jones stated that the payment had been finalized with Goldman Sachs and thanked NBC 5 Responds from the bottom of his heart.
