Broward County, Florida – As the search for those responsible for the shooting that left three people dead continues in West Park, the family and friends of a local rapper have confirmed that he was one of the people killed.

The gunshot took place just a few minutes after midnight on Monday next to a duplex located in the 4100 block of Southwest 21st Street.

According to officials from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, three people—two adults and a teenager—were killed in the gunshots.

The identity of the victims have not been made public by the authorities; however, friends and family of one of the men have identified him as Jerome Holmes, a local rapper who was known by the stage name BluHunned.

On Monday, deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office have arrived at the location of a gunshot that reportedly took place at a residence in the West Park neighborhood. NBC 6’s Laura Rodriguez reports.

According to his friends, he had recently purchased a restaurant on Hallandale Beach Boulevard in the vicinity.

One of his friends, who did not wish to be named, said, “Hopefully they figure out what happened and get to the bottom of it, because he has kids and he is a wonderful person at the end of the day,” but he did not want to be identified.

Detectives from the BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene Units are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the shootings and attempting to identify the individuals responsible for the fatalities.
