Britain’s goal is not regime change in Moscow or the removal of Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said today, specifying that London’s intention is to protect Ukrainians in the war.
– I understand the frustration of the people because of Putin and the desire to change the government. “That is the goal of many democratic policies,” Johnson told lawmakers.
However, he stressed that the change of the Russian regime is not a goal of the British government and that it is very important that everyone understands that.
“We are simply trying to help protect the people of Ukraine, to protect them from completely barbaric and unreasonable violence,” Johnson said.
