Black ice caused the vehicle to roll over east of Lincoln, rural fire departments say
LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska)-A driver was injured last week when his car overturned in a ditch east of Lincoln, the Southeast Fire and Rescue Department said Monday.
Crews were sent to the crash, which occurred near 112nd and O Street Thursday.
Firefighters said the vehicle skidded on black ice, which caused it to roll into the ditch north of the road.
Air temperatures, wind chills and a slippery roadway were challenges for response crews, according to firefighters.
The driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.
