Biker was going too fast and ran a red light on Friday resulting with a fatal accident in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Nebraska – One individual lost their life as a result of an accident that occurred in Lincoln on Friday night.

A biker was reportedly traveling eastbound on Cornhusker Highway as he or she approached 27th Street around 10:15 p.m. on Friday, as reported by the Lincoln Police Department.

According to the statements purportedly made to the police by witnesses, the biker was going too fast and ran a red light. On 27th Street, the driver collided with a truck traveling in the southbound direction.

As soon as they arrived, the cops began making attempts to save the life of the biker. He was taken to a hospital in the area, but they proclaimed him dead there a short time later.

During the course of the inquiry, the junction was off-limits for a number of hours.

The identity of the man, who is 29 years old and from Lincoln, has not been made public by the police.
