Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is collaborating with SHARE Omaha + SHARE Iowa on a Backpack Drive to help local schools. Those who bring a backpack and school supplies to Mid-America Center between August 4 and August 7 will receive a complimentary Beyond Van Gogh ticket with a paid admission.

Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience was produced by French-Canadian Creative Director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his team at Montreal’s internationally acclaimed Normal Studio. “We are extremely appreciative and honored by the audience’s wonderful response and enthusiasm for the event.” Mathieu St. Arnaud, Creative Director, said. “We understood from the beginning that we wanted to give the audience a really personal and awe-inspiring experience. Guests are transported into Van Gogh’s universe by way of a brand-new, exclusively designed environment comprising of three interconnected zones. The Education Room connects to the Waterfall Room, which in turn flows into the Immersive Experience Room. Freed from their frames, Van Gogh’s magnificent paintings emerge on projection-swathed walls, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the remarkable detail of his work and be surrounded by his ever-changing, swirling, and vibrant flowers, cafes, and breathtaking landscapes. Moreover, hearing the artist’s own dreams, feelings, and words placed to a symphonic score creates a narrative experience that is unparalleled.

In recent years, exhibitions of Van Gogh’s cinematic works have traveled from European cities to North America, where they have been welcomed with critical praise and sold-out audiences in every region. Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will continue its extended engagement in Omaha before touring North America. Through August 14, the exhibition is open on Sundays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Beyond Van Gogh will be open from August 15 to September 9 on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, the show will be open on Labor Day, September 5, as well.
