Another cold day tomorrow before a short but short warm up on Tuesday and Wednesday
HASTINGS, Neb. (Nebraska) – Today was quite a different day than yesterday as we had strong northerly winds today which brought cold Canadian air into the area. Although it was sunny, today the highs were well below average in the mid 20’s north to upper 30’s and lows 40° south. With clear skies tonight and overnight we will see temperatures drop rapidly after dark. Expect the lows across the area to bottom out in the teens tonight. Tomorrow will be similar to today but with much less wind. Highs will range from the mid-30s north to the 40s south in north-central Kansas.
Another cold day with less wind tomorrow followed by a short warm up
If you’re hoping for a warmer, well, you’ll get one as we head into Tuesday with a sharp rise in temperatures as southerly winds pick up. Tuesday’s highs will range from about 50° northeast to 60° southwest. Wednesday will be the hottest day of the week and a really nice day with partly sunny skies. Highs will range from the mid/upper 50’s north to about 70° in northern Kansas. Unfortunately, the warming is short-lived as colder air will move back south into the area on Thursday and by late next week behind our next big weather system. This system could eventually bring with it not only colder temperatures but also the possibility of snow accumulation. At the moment
