America arms a country bordering with Russia: HIMARS are coming – the largest purchase of weapons in the history of that country!

Estonia has signed an agreement with the United States for the purchase of HIMARS multi-barrel missile launchers, Estonian RTV ERR reported. It is the largest defense procurement in Estonia’s history.

The contract with the US Defense and Security Cooperation Agency was signed by the Director General of the Estonian State Defense Investment Center, Magnus-Valdemar Saar. The total value of the contract is more than 200 million dollars.

“As part of the agreement, in addition to multi-barrel missile systems, Estonia will also purchase ammunition and communication equipment. The agreement also includes the resolution of issues related to training and logistics. The package includes various missiles with a range of 70 to 300 kilometers,” said the head of the Department of Armaments of the Center for Defense Investments, Ramil Lip.

The first deliveries will arrive in 2024. Last month, Lithuania said it would buy eight HIMARS missile systems from the United States for $495 million.
