Airports in Miami and Fort Lauderdale remained open despite cancellations and delays caused by Hurricane Ian
Miami, Florida – Wednesday, Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport remained open despite delays and cancellations caused by Hurricane Ian.
MIA officials reported that Ian was impacting flights between Miami and cities in the United States, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
More than 200 arrivals and more than 200 departures were canceled at MIA as of 8:30 a.m.
As of 9:30 a.m., around 130 cancellations and over 25 delays were reported at FLL.
