After providing aid to Florida’s most hit areas, Lincoln Electric System Mutual Aid Crews returned to Lincoln Friday

LINCOLN, Nebraska – Friday, Lincoln Electric System Mutual Aid Crews returned to Lincoln from Florida. Following Hurricane Ian, LES crews joined New Symrna Beach and other mutual aid crews to assist with restoration operations.

The workers were stationed in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, according to Communications Specialist Sally Jarecke. “They typically did repairs in blind alleys or in spots that vehicles could not access. In addition, they collaborated overnight with other mutual aid personnel and the local utility to replace an overhead static wire near a street.”

At 3 p.m., the LES teams arrived in Lincoln through Highway 2. The LES crews will then return to their respective destinations.
